Chatsworth Island CWA dominate at Sawtell competition

At the recent CWA North Coast Group Cooking and Handicraft competition held at Sawtell, Chatsworth Island branch scooped the pool in the Handicraft section.

The branch came first in the overall points score. Member Marlene Cook won the trophy for the best piece of crochet, while Marion White won the trophy for the Champion exhibit with her knitted scarf. Both Marlene’s and Marion’s entries plus a rug crocheted by Marlene have been selected in the North Coast exhibit to go to Bega to be judged in the State competition in May.

Chatsworth Island CWA branch will have its monthly meeting next Wednesday April 6 commencing at 10am.

As usual, craft will follow the meeting at 1pm. Ladies just bring your scissors, pins etc.

If you would like to learn to knit, just turn up to our craft afternoon in the Chatsworth Island hall.
