Changed traffic conditions on the Ulmarra-Southgate ferry

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from this week to carry out mandatory maintenance on the Ulmarra-Southgate ferry.

The ferry service will be closed to all traffic from Monday 12 July for at least three weeks to carry out its three-yearly maintenance program.

This maintenance ensures the ferry will continue to comply with maritime requirements and provide a satisfactory and efficient service. While the ferry is offline Transport for NSW will carry out dredging of the river channel to improve service reliability.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes via Lawrence ferry or Grafton bridges while the Ulmarra ferry is closed.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
