Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions this week on the Gwydir Highway for maintenance work to be carried out between near Waterloo Road, about 20 kilometres west of Glen Innes.

Some lane closures will be in place in the area of work from Wednesday 23 September while road rebuilding takes place.

Work will be carried out from 7am to 6pm on weekdays and from 8am and 1pm on Saturdays for about 10 weeks, weather permitting.  

Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and road users.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
