Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week on Summerland Way for bridge maintenance work to be carried out at Dairy Flat.
Work on the Burnetts Creek Bridge, about seven kilometres east of Woodenbong, will start on Tuesday 11 June and includes upgrading the abutments from timber to concrete.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm on weekdays and 8am and 1pm on Saturdays, and is expected to take 12 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
During the first two weeks of the project there will be intermittent 10 minute traffic stops for both lanes to allow for the safe removal of trees. Every effort will be made to keep these closures to a minimum.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
