Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions this weekend on Summerland Way at Casino to carry out maintenance and inspection work on Irving Bridge.

One lane of the bridge will be closed from 7am to 6pm on Sunday 22 November to carry out inspections and maintenance on bridge bearings, to ensure the bridge continues to provide safe and reliable service for many years to come.

Bridge bearings sit between the bridge piers and the deck and allow controlled movement between piers and the deck to reduce stresses in the superstructure. They require periodic maintenance.

Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
