Changed traffic conditions on Pacific Motorway and Gold Coast Highway at Tugun Bypass

Transport for NSW advises motorists of changed traffic conditions from Sunday on the Pacific Motorway at the Tugun bypass as part of measures to reopen the border between NSW and Queensland.

All northbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway will be closed from 7pm AEDT Sunday 31 January to 5am AEDT Monday 1 February, weather permitting.

From 7pm AEDT Monday 1 February to midnight AEDT Tuesday 2 February all northbound lanes of the M1 Pacific Motorway will be closed while concrete barriers are moved.

All northbound vehicles will be diverted to the Gold Coast Highway during the Sunday and Monday night closures.

From about midnight AEDT Monday 1 February to 5am AEDT Tuesday 2 February the northbound lanes of the Gold Coast Highway will be closed for barrier removal.

Motorists who need access to Tugun are advised to use the Pacific Motorway and Stewart Road.

There is no diversion for southbound traffic during any of the closures.

Northbound motorists are advised to allow up to 10 minutes additional travel time, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
