Changed traffic conditions on Pacific Highway and local roads at Mororo, Woombah and Chatsworth Island

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week on the Pacific Highway and local roads at Mororo, Woombah and Chatsworth Island.

From Wednesday 3 June, local access to the Pacific Highway from Lewis Lane and Banana Road will change in preparation for the Iluka interchange opening to traffic.

As part of this change, the existing intersections of the Pacific Highway with Lewis Lane and Banana Road will be closed permanently.

Access to and from the highway to Banana Road and Lewis Lane will be via a temporary detour via the new overpass bridge at the Iluka interchange.

This 900m detour will be in place for about one week.

Reduced speed limits will be in place during this work and motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
