Changed traffic conditions for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Pacific Highway and local roads from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 October for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade, weather permitting.

There will be no roadwork on the Pacific Highway between Kew and the Queensland border from 6am Friday 22 October to 6am Monday 25 October due to the potential for NSW Government COVID travel restrictions being eased. Emergency maintenance and safety repair work will be carried out as required.

From Monday, there will be four days of work on the Pacific Highway between Pimlico and Mororo to carry out vegetation maintenance. Motorists can expect lane and shoulder closures at times between 7am and 4pm.

Also from Monday, there will be one day of work on the Pacific Highway between Harwood and Maclean to carry out survey monitoring. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

From Tuesday, there will be up to three days of work on the Pacific Highway between Woodburn and Devils Pulpit to carry out pavement maintenance and drainage work. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

On Wednesday, there will be one day of work on the Pacific Highway between Pimlico and Coolgardie to carry out pavement maintenance. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

On Thursday, there will be one day of work on the Pacific Highway at the Maclean interchange to carry out pavement maintenance. Motorists can expect shoulder closures and traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.

Further south from Thursday, there will be one day of work on the southbound on ramp at the Glenugie south interchange to facilitate access to site. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control, a reduced speed limit and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

 Additional changes to local roads

From Monday, there will be up to five days of work on Tuckombil Road and Woodburn Evans Head Road at Woodburn to transport machinery and carry out private access and drainage work. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

Also from Monday, there will be up to five days of work at Marizon, Cypress, Rodder, Minyumai, Nardi, Glencoe, Serendipity, Swan Bay New Italy, Redgate and Nortons roads at New Italy to carry out signage installation. Motorists can expect shoulder closures and mobile traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.

From Tuesday, there will be one day of work on Broadwater Evans Head Road at Broadwater to carry out pavement maintenance and line marking. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.
