Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the McFarlane Bridge at Maclean next week for important maintenance.

The work will involve tightening of bolts on the bridge decking, which will require the bridge to be reduced to a single lane between 7am and 6pm from Monday 7 to Friday 25 September, weather permitting.

The work will reduce noise coming from the bridge and provide a smoother ride for motorists.

The work will also involve some full bridge closures of no longer than 10 minutes, which will be planned outside of peak hours associated with school pick up and drop offs.

Normal traffic arrangements will be restored outside of work hours and on weekends.

Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and road users.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
