Changed traffic conditions and night work for Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions and night work on the Pacific Highway and local roads from Monday 22 to Sunday 28 March for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade, weather permitting.

 

From Monday, there will be up to six days of work on the Pacific Highway between Woodburn and Devils Pulpit to install signage, carry out landscape and pavement maintenance, and finishing work. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control, short stoppages and a reduced speed limit at times between 6am and 6pm.

 

Also from Monday, there will be up to seven days and nights of work on the Pacific Highway at Shark Creek to carry out bridge maintenance. Motorists can expect a contraflow arrangement with reduced speed limits and traffic control between 6am and 6pm and 6pm and 6am.

 

The northbound U-turn at Serendipity Road, New Italy will be temporarily closed between 7am and 6pm for up to three days from Tuesday. The next available U-turn for northbound motorists is about one kilometre north.

 

The southbound U-turn at Serendipity Road, New Italy will be temporarily closed between 7am and 6pm for up to three days from Thursday. The next available U-turn for southbound motorists is about five kilometres south.

 

Additional changes to local roads

 

From Monday, there will be up to five days of work on Old Bagotville Road at Bagotville to install a culvert and carry out finishing work. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control at times between 7am and 6pm.

 

Also from Monday, there will be up to five days of work on Tuckombil, Gap and Woodburn Evans Head roads at Woodburn to carry out private access and finishing work. Motorists can expect short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

 

Further south from Monday, there will be up to six days of work on Redgate, Turners and Nardi roads at New Italy to carry out landscape and pavement maintenance, private access and finishing work. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.

 

From Wednesday, there will be three days of work on Broadwater Evans Head Road at Broadwater to build a shared pedestrian and cycle path. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.

 

From Friday, there will be three days of work on Rifle Range Road, Broadwater to replace a koala grid. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control at times between 6am and 6pm.
