Changed traffic conditions and night work for Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions and night work on the Pacific Highway from Monday 24 August to Sunday 30 August for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade, weather permitting.

From Monday, there will be two days of work on the Pacific Highway at Pimlico carry out landscape maintenance. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit between 6am and 6pm.

Also from Monday, there will be up to five nights and five days of work next to the Pacific Highway at Coolgardie to install signage. Motorists can expect traffic control and lane closures between 6pm and 6am and 7am and 5pm while the work is carried out.

Further south from Monday, there will be up to four nights and seven days of work between Woodburn and New Italy to carry out earthwork, paving, drainage work, traffic safety barrier and fauna connectivity structure installation, and to allow access to site. Motorists can expect traffic control, reduced speed limits and short stoppages at times between 6pm and 6am and 6am and 6pm.

There will be up to five days of work on the Pacific Highway between Devils Pulpit and Mororo from Monday to carry out line marking, asphalting, removing traffic safety barriers and allowing access to site to prepare for an upcoming traffic change. Motorists can expect a reduced speed limit between 6am and 6pm while the work is carried out.

On Monday, the southbound off ramp of the Iluka interchange will be closed between 6am and 6pm with a temporary five kilometre detour in place to carry out asphalting and line marking. Motorists travelling south on the Pacific Highway will access Iluka Road via Carrolls Lane, the Chatsworth Road north overpass and Wuyman Way.

From Monday, there will be six days of work on the Pacific Highway between Mororo and Farlows Flat to carry out line marking, removal of median barriers, drainage maintenance and survey work. Motorists can expect traffic control, lane closures and a reduced speed limit between 6am and 6pm.

Further south from Monday, there will be up to six days of work next to the Pacific Highway between Glenugie and Maclean to carry out landscape maintenance, wire rope safety barrier maintenance, signage installation, work in the median and asphalting at the Maclean interchange. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit between 6am and 6pm.

Also from Monday, there will be six days of work on Big River Way at Glenugie and Tyndale to carry out landscaping. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h between 7am and 6pm.

 

Additional changes to local roads

From Monday, there will be five days of work on Kays Road at Pimlico and Coolgardie Road at Coolgardie to install signage. Motorists can expect traffic control and short stoppages at times between 7am and 5pm.

Also from Monday, there will be up to six days of work on Minyumai Road, Nardi Road and Red Gate Road at New Italy and Tuckombil Road and Wondawee Way at Woodburn to carry out earthwork, paving, fencing drainage and to allow access to site. Motorists can expect lanes closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

There will be short stoppages on Iluka Road, Woombah and Garretts Lane at Mororo for six days from Monday to allow access to site and to carry out drainage maintenance. Motorists can expect traffic control between 6am and 6pm.

From Tuesday, there will be three days of work at intersections at Big River Way on Jubilee Street at Townsend, Norleys Lane at Gulmarrad and Maclean to carry out line marking, asphalting and to install signage. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control, a reduced speed limit and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

On Wednesday, the southbound on ramp of the Iluka interchange will be closed between 6am and 6pm with a temporary three kilometre detour in place to carry out asphalting and line marking. Motorists travelling south from Iluka Road will access the Pacific Highway via the old Mororo bridge, Wuyman Way, Chatsworth Road north overpass bridge and Carrolls Lane.

Traffic control will be in place on Bensons Lane at Tyndale and McIntyres Lane at Gulmarrad to allow heavy vehicles to access site from Monday. Motorists can expect short stoppages at times.
