Changed traffic conditions and night work for Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions and night work on the Pacific Highway from Monday 10 to Sunday 16 August for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade, weather permitting.

From Monday, there will be up to seven days of work between Woodburn and New Italy to carry out earthwork, paving, drainage work, installing traffic safety barriers and fauna connectivity poles and to allow access to site. Motorists can expect traffic control, reduced speed limits and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

There will be one night and up to six days of work on the Pacific Highway between Devils Pulpit and Mororo from Monday to carry out asphalting, line marking, drainage work, temporary signage removal, and guardrail and wire rope barrier installation to allow access to site. Motorists can expect traffic control, lane closures and short stoppages at times while this work is carried out.

Also from Monday, there will be six days of work on the Pacific Highway between Mororo and Chatsworth to carry out asphalting and wire rope safety barrier maintenance work. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h between 6am and 6pm.

Further south from Monday, there will be up to six days of work next to the Pacific Highway between Glenugie and Maclean to carry out landscape maintenance, line marking, drainage work and work in the median at the Maclean interchange. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit between 6am and 6pm.

From Tuesday, there will be three nights of work on the Pacific Highway between New Italy and Woodburn to carry out earthwork, paving and to install drainage. Motorists can expect traffic control and lane closures between 6pm and 6am.

Also from Tuesday, there will be up to four days of work on the Pacific Highway at Pimlico to carry out line marking and earthwork. Northbound motorists can expect traffic control and short stoppages between 7am and 5pm.

 

Additional changes to local roads

From Monday, there will be up to six days of work on Minyumai Road and Red Gate Road at New Italy and Tuckombil Road and Wondawee Way at Woodburn to carry out earthwork, paving, installing sign posts and drainage. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

There will be short stoppages on Iluka Road, Woombah for six days from Monday to allow access to site. Motorists can expect traffic control between 6am and 6pm.

Also from Monday, there will be up to seven days of work on Jubilee Street at Townsend and at the intersection of Ferry Park and Big River Way at Maclean to remove the old Jubilee Street overpass bridge and allow access to site. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 6am and 6pm.

Traffic control will be in place on Bensons Lane at Tyndale to allow heavy vehicles to access site from Monday. Motorists can expect short stoppages at times.

Road maintenance work will be carried out on Eight Mile Lane at Glenugie for about four weeks, from Monday. Temporary traffic lights and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h between 7am and 6pm and 60km/h between 6pm and 7am will be in place while the work is carried out.
