Changed traffic conditions and night work for Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions and night work on the Pacific Highway from Monday 25 to Sunday 31 May for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade, weather permitting.

From Monday, there will be four days of work next to the Pacific Highway at Pimlico to carry out survey work. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 7am and 5pm.

Also from Monday, there will be seven days of work on the Pacific Highway between New Italy and Woodburn to carry out earthwork, paving, drainage work, line marking, landscaping and to install fauna connectivity structures. Motorists can expect traffic control, reduced speed limits and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

There will be up to six days of work from Monday next to the Pacific Highway between Farlows Flat and Mororo to adjust signage and carry out maintenance and survey work. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

Further south from Monday, there will be five days of work next to the Pacific Highway between Glenugie and Tyndale to carry out landscape maintenance, drainage work and install signs. Motorists can expect a reduced speed limit of 40km/h at times between 7am and 6pm.

From Tuesday, there will be four nights and seven days of work on the Pacific Highway between Mororo and Devils Pulpit to carry out line marking, asphalting, landscaping and drainage work. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 6pm and 6am during night work and between 6am and 6pm during day work.

Also from Tuesday, there will be four days of work next to the Pacific Highway between Tyndale and Maclean to carry out landscape maintenance and remove traffic barriers. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 6am and 6pm.

On Tuesday, there will be one night of work at Chatsworth Island to remove traffic barriers. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 6pm and 6am.

From Wednesday, there will be three days of work next to Big River Way at Tyndale to carry out landscape maintenance and remove signs. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h between 7am and 6pm.

Traffic control will be in place from Monday at the northbound off ramp at the Tyndale interchange and Benson’s Lane at Tyndale to allow heavy vehicles to access site. Motorists can expect a reduced speed limit of 40km/h and short stoppages at times.

Additional changes to local roads

From Monday, there will be up to seven days of work on Mororo Road at Mororo to install a drain and to continue construction of the new road. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 6am and 6pm.

Traffic control will be in place on Jubilee Street at Townsend and Cameron Street at Maclean for up to six days from Monday to allow access to site and to carry out earthwork. Motorists can expect lane closures, a reduced speed limit of 40km/h and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

Also from Monday, there will be five days of work at the Yamba interchange to carry out paving. Motorists can expect traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

The old Mororo Bridge is temporarily closed while drainage is installed.
