Changed traffic conditions and night work for Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions and night work on the Pacific Highway from Monday 11 to Sunday 17 May for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade, weather permitting.

From Monday, there will be two days of work on the Pacific Highway at Pimlico to install wire rope barriers. Motorists can expect a reduced speed limit between 7am and 5pm.

Also from Monday, there will be six days and one night of work on the Pacific Highway between New Italy and Woodburn to carry out line marking, earthwork, paving, drainage work, asphalting, wire rope barrier installation and landscaping. Motorists can expect traffic control, reduced speed limits and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

Further south from Monday, there will be up to four days of work on the Pacific Highway at Mororo to install fencing and fauna poles, landscaping, excavation and asphalting. Motorists can expect traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

There will be up five days of work next to the Pacific Highway between Glenugie and Tyndale from Monday to carry out landscape maintenance, line marking and install traffic guardrails and lighting poles. Motorists should expect lane closures, reduced speed limits of 40km/h and short stoppages at times between 7am and 6pm.

From Tuesday, there will be four days of work next to the Pacific Highway at Broadwater to carry out earthwork and remove a ramp. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 7am and 5pm.

From Wednesday, there will be up to two days of work next to the Pacific Highway at Maclean to remove a lighting tower. Motorists can expect traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

 

Additional changes to local roads

 

Traffic control will be in place on Jubilee Street at Townsend and Cameron Street at Maclean for up to five days from Monday to allow access to site and to carry out earthwork and asphalting. Motorists can expect lane closures, a reduced speed limit of 40km/h and short stoppages at times.

From Monday, there will be six days of work at Somervale Road at Tucabia, Bensons Lane at Tyndale and Shark Creek Road at Gulmarrad to carry out drainage, paving and earthwork. Motorists should expect lane closures, a reduced speed limit of 40km/h and short stoppages at times.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Mororo Road at Mororo for seven days from Monday while construction and maintenance work is carried out on the road. Motorists can expect short stoppages at times.

Also from Monday, there will be six days of work at the Yamba interchange to carry out paving. Motorists can expect traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

The old Mororo Bridge is temporarily closed while drainage is installed.
