Changed traffic conditions and night work for Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions and night work on the Pacific Highway from Monday 20 to Sunday 26 April for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade, weather permitting.

From Monday, there will be five days of work on the Pacific Highway at Broadwater to carry out line marking, asphalting, surveying and signage removal. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 7am and 5pm.

Also from Monday, there will be five days of work on the Pacific Highway between Tabbimoble and Woodburn to carry out earthwork, paving, drainage work and vegetation clearing. Motorists can expect traffic control, reduced speed limits and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

Further south from Monday, there will be five days and four nights of work on the Pacific Highway between Farlows Flat and Harwood to carry out asphalting. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and reduced speed limits between 6am and 6pm.

Landscape maintenance will be carried out next to the Pacific Highway for up to four days from Monday between Tyndale and Maclean. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6am and 6pm.

On Monday, there will be one day of work next to the Pacific Highway at Glenugie and Tyndale to install permanent road signage. Motorists should expect lane closures, reduced speed limits of 40km/h and short stoppages at times between 7am and 6pm.

From Tuesday, there will be up to four nights of work on the Pacific Highway at Devils Pulpit to remove line marking. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 6pm and 6am.

Additional changes to local roads

Traffic control will be in place on Jubilee Street at Townsend and Cameron Street at Maclean for up to five days from Monday to allow access to site and to carry out earthwork. Motorists can expect lane closures, a reduced speed limit of 40km/h and short stoppages at times.

From Monday, there will be up to five days of work on Sommervale Road and Bensons Lane at Tyndale as well as Shark Creek Road at Gulmarrad to carry out maintenance, earthwork and install signage. Motorists should expect lane closures, a reduced speed limit of 40km/h and short stoppages at times.
 
There will be seven nights and seven days of work from Monday on Watts Lane and the northbound on ramp of the Harwood interchange at Harwood to install drainage. Temporary traffic lights and a reduced speed limit will be in place while the work is carried out.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in place on Broadwater-Evans Head Road at Broadwater for four days from Monday to carry out paving work and install a koala grid. Motorists can expect traffic control, reduced speed limits and short stoppages in both directions between 6am and 6pm.

There will be six days of work from Monday on Tuckombil and Red Gates Road at New Italy to carry out drainage work, paving and to install signage. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 6am and 6pm.

The old Mororo Bridge is temporarily closed while drainage is installed.
