Changed traffic conditions continue this week on the Pacific Highway to progress the Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway upgrade.

No road work will be carried out on the highway between Kew and the Queensland border from 6am Friday 8 June to 6pm Tuesday 12 June due to the high traffic volumes expected for the Queen’s Birthday long weekend. Emergency maintenance and safety repair work will be carried out as required.

From Monday 4 June, four nights of work will be carried out between Devils Pulpit and New Italy. Work will be carried out between 5pm and 6.30am and includes installing guardrails, signs and safety barriers and removing wire rope in the centre of the highway.

On Monday 4 June, there will be lane closures and speed reductions in place and intermittent stoppages on the Pacific Highway between Eight Mile Lane and Lookout Road at Glenugie while vegetation removal is carried out near the highway.

From Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 June, there will be speed reductions and short stoppages on the Pacific Highway southbound between Tabbimoble and Mororo while work is carried out to build highway stopping bays.

From Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 June, line marking will be carried out north of Beekeepers rest area at Mororo. Traffic will be stopped intermittently while work is carried out between 7am and 6pm.

On Wednesday 6 June, a large crane will be transported across the Pacific Highway at Broadwater. For the safety of road users, short term stoppages will be in place and managed by temporary traffic lights.

Oversize and over mass deliveries are continuing as the project team moves more than 8500 large concrete pieces from precast yards in Macksville, Coffs Harbour and Brisbane to site.
