Changed traffic conditions and night work for Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions and night work on the Pacific Highway from Monday 2 to Sunday 8 September for the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade.

From Monday, temporary traffic lights will be in use on the Pacific Highway at Pimlico for six days. Motorists can expect traffic control, reduced speed limits and short stoppages in both directions between 6am and 6pm.

On Monday, there will be one day of work on the Pacific Highway between Pimlico and West Ballina to repair wire rope safety barriers. Motorists travelling south can expect traffic control and short stoppages at times between 6pm and 6am.

Also from Monday, there will be up to four nights of work on the Pacific Highway at Mororo to remove line marking and carry out asphalting. Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic control between 6pm and 6am.

Further south from Monday, there will be four nights of work on the Pacific Highway between Farlows Flat and James Creek to carry out asphalting and install traffic barriers. Motorists can expect lane closures and short stoppages between 6pm and 6am.

From Tuesday, sign maintenance and installation will be carried out for three days on the Pacific Highway between Maclean and Tyndale. Motorists can expect traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h between 6am and 6pm.

Additional changes to local roads

Asphalting will be carried out for four days from Monday on Coolgardie Road west of the overpass bridge. Local traffic can expect lane closures and full stops in both directions between 7am and 6pm.

There will be six days of work from Monday on Jubilee Street at Townsend to build the new bridge. Motorists can expect lane closures, traffic control and increased stoppages to allow access to the site.

Also from Monday, there will be short stoppages in both directions for six days on Eight Mile Lane at Glenugie while vehicles access the worksite. Motorists are advised to follow the direction of traffic control and expect minor delays between 7am and 6pm.

From Wednesday, there will be two days of work on the Byrons Lane overpass bridge at Tyndale. Local traffic can expect traffic control and short stoppages in both directions between 6am and 6pm.

Asphalting will be carried out from Friday for up to two nights on North Arm Road and Chatsworth Road south, Chatsworth Island. Local traffic can expect lane closures and traffic control between 6pm and 6am.
