CDB Past Presidents Association

The quarterly meeting of the Association will be held on Sunday August 7, at Yamba Bowling Club at 1.30pm after our game of bowls and lunch.

We love welcoming new members, so why not come along, and enjoy a social game, but only if you enjoy having fun. The only requirement is that you are a registered bowling member.

Past President Bowlers, of Clarence District Branch, it is time to renew your membership if you have not already done so. Fees were due on June 30 and remain the same as 2021. Full members – $15; Social members – $10. New members who have paid fees in 2022, are covered for the 2022/2023 financial year, all ready to roll some bowls and enjoy yourselves on the green. Those members who have not had the opportunity to renew your membership yet, you may ‘direct deposit’ into the Clarence District Past Presidents Bowling Association bank account BSB 082-631, Account No. 50-970-9362. Please don’t forget to state your name as a reference when paying this way.

Another option is to come along to our August 7 and take part in a fun game of bowls and join us all for lunch before the meeting. Our program for the day is to play mixed bowls at 10am and please be there a little earlier to put your name down so you will be included in a team. After some laughing and joking with the other members on the green, we will attempt to place our bowls in some sort of dominance around the “Kitty”, we shall then migrate into the club at 12.30pm for lunch.

Our quarterly meeting is at 1.30pm in the Committee Room followed by our raffle with lots of good prizes.

Just a reminder for members, we have our Bowls Past Presidents Association of NSW State Friendship Carnival in February at Wooli Bowls Club. This is a mixed bowls competition where you arrive on Friday February 24 and play through until Sunday February 26. This is a fantastic carnival of Past President members state-wide. Not only do we have some great fun and enjoy our games of bowls, but we catch up with lots of members that we haven’t seen for a few years, and we meet lots of lovely new people. Those people wishing to play in this carnival, it’s time to get your mixed teams of four organised ready for when nominations open. There is plenty of accomodation available at Wooli, or those people with caravans, there are two lovely caravan parks to book into. For inquiries regarding this carnival, please phone the Carnival Secretary Graeme Walker 0427 887 919, Club President, Col Milne 02 6649 4461, or Club Secretary, Brian Hall 02 6642 1707. This event has been cancelled for the last couple of times and finally we are able to have our carnival at Wooli Bowls Club, thank you Wooli Bowls Club for hosting this event.
