The Yamba Triathlon returned to the coast for an epic December tri getaway on Sunday December 6. Combined with the local town’s nostalgic atmosphere, it is easy to see why the Yamba Tri is a favourite on the multi-sport calendar.

Twenty-one Clarence Coast Dragon Boat Club members once again joined the volunteer force taking on registration, traffic control, course marshal, pedestrian marshal, swim exit to transition, bike exit to transition and water stations attendants.

Thank you to Bowlo Sports & Leisure Yamba for sponsoring the purchase of long-sleeved sun safe shirts for our members. The shirts not only looked great, but they also certainly provided maximum protection whilst we manned our stations.

The day prior we paddled on some south western reaches of the Clarence, up Oyster Channel, past Micalo Island and up to Carrs Drive boat ramp, in magnificent conditions. As everyone was enjoying themselves the session extended to an hour and a half and all benefitted from the taxing of our aerobic capacity during this scenic paddle.
