CCDBC novel ideas to support home isolation

As we are no longer keeping fit on the water so Clarence Coast Dragon Boat Club has come up with some novel ideas to keep members fit, but also to keep the social interaction happening whilst ‘social distancing’.

Teams are set regular challenges which members must complete and report back to their team captain. The first challenge was to come up with a suitable team name. The five names are Corona X Fits, The Corona Conquerors, COVID Warriors, The 4 C’s – Clarence Coast COVID Commandos, Team I’m Still Feelin’ It!

Challenge 2 – members are completing a 9-day exercise program of nine exercises which increase in repetition and sets. Examples are high knees, push-ups, planks, wall sits, tricep dips, lunges and squats.

Challenge 3 – members had to send in their quirky COVID Fact. And the winners were: the ingenuity of utilising bra cups as face masks!, nearly all TV reporters reporting from home, have designer bookshelves, every Green Bin is overflowing and feeling safer at present walking down a dark alley with a wad of cash than a 36 pack of loo paper!

One member has challenged their dog to complete the daily exercises!

When we survive COVID 19, CCDBC will thrive.
