Steve Cansdell, the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party (SFFP) candidate for Clarence at the State Election on March 23 held his Grand Gala Dinner on Saturday at the Grafton District Golf Club.
“It was marvellous to see so many people come out to show their support.” Said Steve Cansdell.
The dinner was a huge success with well over 100 people attending.
“It goes to show the level of support I have in the area.
The guests enjoyed a three course meal, live music, laughs were supplied by international comedian Kenny Bennet; there was a raffle, lucky door prizes and even a slave auction with Steve Cansdell being auctioned off to the lucky highest bidder.
“I’d like to thank Grafton District Golf Club and everyone that attended the dinner and making it such a fantastic night.
Campaign office opens
Meanwhile, Mr Cansdell officially opening his campaign office on Monday.
“I announced my nomination to run in the upcoming State Election last June after realising that the National Party had stopped listening to rural and regional NSW, all they do now is what their puppet masters in Sydney tell them to do.” said Steve Cansdell.
“The Nat’s haven’t listened to the people of Clarence for years now so I decided I had to step in and fix that.
“They didn’t listen when the Libs tried shutting down the Greyhound industry, they didn’t listen to the Wave 5 sub-contractors not getting paid, they didn’t listen to the concerns over Cangai Mine, they didn’t listen to the pensioners who can no longer afford electricity after they sold off the power poles and wires, they’re not listening to the concerns over the Glenugie Eight Mile Lane motorway interchange. They just don’t listen to the people of Clarence at all.
“I opened my campaign office so anyone with a question, a problem or just to offer their support can come and talk to me directly, in person.
“I will always stand up for the people of Clarence, as I always have. My track record shows that.
Steve Cansdell’s campaign office is at 109 Prince Street Grafton phone 02 6619 6455.
