Lynne Mowbray |

The Clarence Valley Camp Oven Festival is all fired up and ready to go, this weekend at Nymboida.

This will be the 5th year that the popular festival has been run with the team at the Nymboida Camping & Canoeing striving each year, to improve the festival.

Organisers are excited about the fabulous things which will take place at this year’s festival.

The festival will kick off on Friday afternoon with a Welcome to Country by a respected local Elder along with a traditional indigenous smoking ceremony.

A fantastic evening of live music and poetry will follow with a performance by Bellingen band ‘Honey and Knives’.

Entertainment will continue throughout the weekend with more space allocated for performances this year.

Saturday will see the cooks once again vying for some great prizes and the chance to get their name on the perpetual trophy.

What would a Camp Oven Festival be without a bush dance and on Saturday night the night sky will be lit up with a live fire twirling show.

There are heaps of fun competitions you can enter including racing a rubber duckie on Goolang Creek or create a wacky beanie.

The Festival team are looking forward to welcoming you and sharing in yet another awesome Clarence Valley Camp Oven Festival.
