The annual Family Fun Day was held at Yamba’s Main Beach on Sunday, organised held by Yamba Rotary and including a BBQ sausage sizzle to raise money for local projects. The “fun” part included a sand sculpture event with expert instruction by Steve Machell, a professional “sandologist”. Steve provided some practical advice on sandcastle building and was the official judge for the day. Thirty teams of four had one hour to compete their masterpiece. Images: Fran Dowsett
