Bruce Blanch is Yamba Senior Singles Champion
The 2017 Senior Singles Champion was crowned on Sunday afternoon when Bruce Blanch defeated Bruce Angel in the final. These two bowlers had been the standout performers in the championship and had dominated their respective halves of the draw. The final was expected to be a colossal contest and the final score of 21 shots to seven did not truly reflect the closeness of the match. On many occasions when Bruce Angel looked as though he would score multiple shots and get himself back into the game, Bruce Blanch would produce an outstanding bowl to draw onto the jack and take the initiative away. Bruce Blanch deserved the victory and will now reign as the club’s senior singles champion for the next twelve months.
