Brownie’s ‘BYO Boys’ win Autumn TNT at the GDSC

The final night of the Autumn TNT (Tuesday Night Triples) has been run and won on the greens at the GDSC on April 12 under ideal weather conditions.

A full field of 84 bowlers created a great atmosphere, and prizes were handed out to the top ten teams, as well as our ‘Supa Subs’ whose participation throughout the competition was appreciated by all.

Paul Hyland, of one of our sponsors Clarence Valley Wholesalers presented trophies to the teams finishing 10th to 6th being ‘Humble Pye’s’, ‘The RP’s’, ‘North Coast Air Care’, ‘Fresh Dental’, and ‘McKimms Real Estate’.

Stephen Haines, on behalf of sponsor McKimms Real Estate presented the remaining prizes to 5th placed ‘Gorbos’ and 4th placed ‘Sharkies’. The top three placed teams were all tied on 25 points, and positions were decided by a countback.

‘Scrubbers’ who were in first position at the start of the night, ended up in third position, with ‘Oz Kiwi’ working their way into 2nd, and Darren Brown’s ‘BYO Boys’ with Neil Payne & Tony Duroux finishing in first position to win the competition.

An ecstatic skipper Darren Brown gave a moving speech that was appreciated by all. The Ken O’Meara Perpetual Trophy was presented to team ‘BYO Boys’.

The Spring TNT competition will commence on September 20 and again we have a full field of 28 teams. Many thanks to co-organisers Allan Gough and Paul Goratschow for their efforts, and a big thanks to the GDSC for their continued support as always.
