Bridges and road in line for repairs

More than $3 million worth of bridge and road repairs – funded by the NSW and Federal governments – have been approved by the Clarence Valley Council.

Council was offered funding from the NSW Government’s Fixing Country Roads Program and the Federal Government’s Bridges Renewal and Roads to Recovery programs for works on the Endless Creek Bridge on the Old Glen Innes Road, the Pullalogalong Bridge on Coaldale Road and two sections of the Armidale Road.

The estimated cost of works on the Endless Creek Bridge is $1.1 million, the Pullalogalong Bridge $890,000, one section of Armidale Road $716,000 and the other $454,000. The State and Federal Governments will each provide 50% of the cost of the works.
