In last weeks paper dated December 9, our page 3 story Brian’s back on his bike, stated that ‘former Maclean High School teacher Brian Elvery was back on his bike taking part in Sunday’s triathlon.’

Brian Elvery was in fact a former teacher at McAuley Catholic College.

To see Brian back on his bike competing at the triathlon was a true inspiration to all who knew of his horrific accident back in February. Brian’s determination and hard work this year paid off, culminating in his amazing come back at the Yamba triathlon.

We wish Brian all the best for a full recovery and many more years of doing what he loves doing – riding his bike.
