Blundell on a southern night

In 1987, James Blundell was named ‘best new talent’ at Tamworth Country Music Awards… and he’s been an Australian country music fixture ever since.

Blundell has won a bevy of Golden Guitars over the years and his long association with the awards was recognised last year when Blundell was made a Roll of Renown Inductee of the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame at the 2019 Golden Guitar Awards.

In 2018, Blundell’s music was the focal point of the compilation album, 30 Years of Pride – A Tribute to James Blundell, which features the who’s who of Australian music, joining with some of today’s most exciting new artists, to re-imagine some of his biggest and best loved songs.

Blundell plays at the Maclean Bowling Club on Saturday November 21, with local duo Monkey Finger playing support; tickets are on sale at the club or through its website.
