Beware, turtles crossing

The Lions Club of Clarence – Environmental is asking motorists to watch out for turtles crossing the road.

“Before lockdown, I was driving from the Lawrence ferry to Lower Southgate and saw turtles crossing the road,” Lions Club of Clarence – Environmental’s Barbara Linley said.

Ms Linley said two turtles had been killed by cars. “Please be aware and slowdown for these amazing creatures, which are crossing the road at the moment,” she said.

“Please watch out along Brooms Head Road, too, and if you see one crossing the road, please stop and help it to the other side.”
