A wonderful friendship, co-operation and sheer talent has seen major art prizes go to Iluka artists Jenny Johns and Janet Hauser.

Jenny, who runs the Charles St Art Studio (often with the help of good friend Janet), recently won first prize in the Landscape section of the Pastel Society of Australia Annual Art Exhibition in Brisbane. Jenny also won the People’s Choice award for the same art work. Her painting can be seen in the October edition of the Australian Artworks magazine.

Jenny included an application for Janet in the Tursa Art competition 2019 held at the Lismore Showground.

Janet won the Acquisitive prize, and first prize in the Still Life section, for her artwork entitled “Figs”
