Australian music icons to perform during 2021 Jacaranda Festival

Troy Cassar-Daley and Ian Moss are two of the most popular musicians in the country.

And they’ll be performing at the 2021 Jacaranda Festival.

It will be the first time the powerhouse artists will join forces and share the stage as part of their Together Alone Tour at Market Square on October 31.

Festival Manager Mark Blackadder said securing the pair was a major coup, and a sign of the overall quality this year’s event will deliver.

“Everyone knows and loves Troy, and Ian is an Australian music legend, so to have them play together as part of our program is very exciting,” he said.

“They will also be the first music concert held in our entertainment precinct in Market Square, and they will take the audience on a musical journey across their respective careers.

“The Jacaranda Festival is now recognised as an important regional arts festival, so ensuring we continue to attract major acts like Troy and Ian is extremely important.

“Both men have an affinity to the area as Troy grew up in Grafton so he knows the town well, and I’m sure he’ll be excited to catch up with some old friends while he’s here.

“Ian also has links to the area as the inspiration for Cold Chisel’s song Flame Trees was keyboardist Don Walker’s memories of Grafton where he lived when he was young.”

Tickets are $65 and will be available from 10am on June 21 at https://ianmosstroycassardaley.intix.com

“We have plenty more major announcements to make in the coming months, but this is the perfect one to kick off the entertainment schedule,” Mr Blackadder said.

The 2021 Jacaranda Festival will run from October 29 until November 7.
