Australia Day celebrated in style by CCDBC

The Clarence Coast Dragon Boat Club joined forces with Grafton Dragon Boat Club to enjoy a fabulous Australia Day paddle on the mighty Clarence River at Brushgrove.

Following an hour of paddling the South Arm (under the instructions of Terrific Tracey) in amazing conditions, both crews headed to the Brushgrove pub for a relaxing breakfast hosted by Luke and Bec. As part of the social activities, paddlers Australiana history and music knowledge was tested with the crew from Grafton named ‘Quiz Master’ and the ‘Down River’ team showing their superiority winning the ‘Spicks and Specks’ award.

As 2019 has arrived, possibly there are a few new arrivals to the Clarence Valley or a few may have taken the step into retirement. So now is the time to take the opportunity to make new friends, decrease those stress levels further and enjoy regular social activities and try dragon boat paddling.

Don’t put it off, act now and help yourself to live long and live well – join us on Wednesday 3.30pm and/or Saturdays 7.30am at the Yamba boat ramp.
