Art exhibition to open next week

Emma Pritchard

The Grafton Art Club’s 52nd Jacaranda Art Exhibition will open next week from December 7-11 in the T.J. Ford Pavilion (the barn), at Grafton Showground, 208 Prince St, Grafton.

Featuring the exquisite artistic talents of Clarence Valley adults and youths, the exhibition will be open from 9am-5pm daily and is expected to draw large crowds of art enthusiasts and visitors to the region.

The annual exhibition will also feature a special Jacaranda invitation section this year.

Aimed at encouraging artists to get creative with locally sourced and recycled materials, the completed entries will be proudly displayed to the public on canvas, box frames and as sculptures.

The exhibition will also feature a variety of different sections including painting, drawing, watercolours and collage.

The Grafton Art Club’s 52nd Jacaranda Art Exhibition opening ceremony and awards presentation will be held on December 7 between 6-8pm.
