ANZACs not forgotten

With all ANZAC Day public commemorations cancelled due to the Corona virus pandemic, residents of the Clarence Valley will still be able to join together to remember our ANZACs, via the air waves.

The Clarence Valley RSL sub-branches and Radio 2GF have joined forces to pre-record the ANZAC Day 2020 service, which will be broadcast at 6am on 2GF 1206am FM 103.9 and FM 104.7.

The commemoration service will allow residents to tune in from their home, driveway, shed or kitchen.

Maclean sub-branch president, Steve Walton said that he gratefully acknowledged the support of Richie Williamson and radio station 2GF.

“This broadcast allows our community to continue the important tradition of showing respect for those Australian servicemen and women who have given their lives and service in defence of the nation,” he said.
