A regular participant in the Fashions on the Field events during the annual July Racing Carnival, Clarence Valley resident Amie Want added another sash and title to her impressive collection during the Westlawn Finance Prelude Day on July 5.

Wearing a stunning headpiece by Shanette Farrell of Lotus & Lace Millinery in Casino, and an eye-catching dress she purchased online, Ms Want was awarded first place in the Westlawn Finance Black and Gold Fashions on the Field for Best Black and Gold Outfit, her “fourth or fifth” success in the event in recent years.

Following the postponement of the event on July 3 due to the rescheduled race meeting, Ms Want told the Clarence Valley Independent she didn’t make any last- minute changes to her outfit as she felt it would be bad luck.

A devoted follower of fashion with a stylish wardrobe to match, Ms Want loves attending the July Racing Carnival each year, describing it as a wonderful occasion to dress up.

After revealing she hadn’t thought that far ahead when asked how she was going to celebrate her most recent win in Fashions on the Field, Ms Want said she is looking forward to participating in other Fashions on the Field events during the 2022 XXXX July Winter Racing Carnival, especially alongside her family.
