The first round of the Vet’s Championship was held on Monday July 20.

We had visitors from Dubbo, Goulburn, Warragul and Beacon Hills.

The men’s winner was Alex Miltiadou with 37 points, followed by Terry Winser and Alex Podbereski both on 36 points.

Our old Mate Greg LaForest, playing with the Vet’s for the first time in a while, lived up to his name, taking on the tall timber a number of times on the back 9. The timber won but Greg used a Tree Iron to redeem himself and finished with some great drives.

The ball rundown went to 30 points and included Mike Grills, Ken Hall, Noel Bushell, Lester English, Terry Cumiskey, Terry Betts, Harold Roberts, Czes Czarnota and Bob Walpole.

NTPs: 9th – hole Don Maling.

The ladies’ winner was Lee Daley with 36 points followed by Daph Hinshaw with 35 points.

The ball rundown went to 34 and included Robyn Causley and Johanne Simmons.

NTPs: 3rd – hole Lynne M White; 9th – hole Jayne McCormack.

The lucky raffle winners were Ken Hall, Ted Tucan and Harold Roberts.
