On Friday November 15, Grafton High School celebrated the Year 12 graduating class of 2019 at their annual formal. It was a night of celebration that recognised the achievements that the school leavers have made during their 13 years of schooling, as well as giving them a night to celebrate with their family and friends.
The formal was held at The Barn at the Grafton Showgrounds. The night was compared by 2020 Grafton High School captains Lachlan Scott and Kate Smith. Speeches were given by principal Peter South and deputy principal Gervase Bertus.
Year advisor Paul Litchfield also gave a speech on the night where he encouraged the graduating students to always remember three things. Mr Litchfield encouraged the students to also be kind, stay humble and to choose love – encouraging students to love the unlovable.
2019 school captains Benjamin Luxton and Megg Young also spoke of their experience at Grafton High.
Live music on the night was provided by Heckyl and Jive.
