Clarence Valley teenager Zion Litchfield has always been passionate about animals.

Recently, his love for our furry and fluffy four-legged companions inspired him to pursue his dream of working in the pet care industry.

After completing his professional dog grooming course at Dog Collective Co. Grooming Academy on the Gold Coast, Zion is proud to announce he has joined his family’s business Affordable Pet Care and is excited to demonstrate his extensive range of skills to local pet owners.

Expertly handling dogs with his calm and kind demeanour, Zion offers professional clipping and grooming services including nail clipping, bathing and blow-drying, and de-shedding, along with additional dog walking and pet sitting services.

“I’ve always wanted to make sure dogs are not only looking their best but feeling great too,” Zion explained.

“The course was a lot of hard work, but it taught me the proper techniques and how to handle each dog’s unique needs.

“I’m excited to bring what I’ve learned to Affordable Pet Care.”

Zion’s training at Dog Collective Co. Grooming Academy not only taught him technical grooming skills but also emphasised the importance of building trust and comfort with the dogs he works with.

Receiving plenty of praise and positive feedback for his attention to detail, and his ability to remain supportive and patient with every dog he handles, Zion is excited to utilise his love of animals as a stepping stone towards a successful and rewarding career in his hometown.

Zion’s parents are also incredibly proud of their son’s accomplishments.

“We’ve always encouraged Zion to follow his passions and seeing him complete the grooming course is a huge step for him,” said his proud stepdad, Paul Jackson.

“It’s amazing to watch him turn his love for animals into a professional skill that will help him thrive”.
