A cake in New York for fire relief

It’s not every day that a cake store in New York makes an impact in Australia but that is what happened the other week. Sisters Charli and Chloe Skinner set up a cake stall at the end of their street on the corner of First Avenue and Fifty Fourth Street New York. The girls raised $2300 US dollars for the bushfire appeal by selling cakes and Australian treats such as Anzac biscuits. Their proud grandmother Leonie Skinner is based in the Clarence Valley. Lily Skinner who is based in Sydney is also doing her bit for the wildlife and is crocheting possum pouches for the possums who have been displaced during the fires.
