Rich in history, culture, and tradition, the Grafton Jacaranda Festival is a time-honoured event which was first held in 1935.
As it commemorates its 90th Anniversary in 2024, it continues to bring people together from across the Clarence Valley, Australia, and beyond each year.
Every spring, when the famous jacaranda trees that adorn the streets of Grafton begin to flower and enrich their surroundings with vibrant explosions of mauve and lilac petals, our community unites and welcomes thousands of visitors to the region as we celebrate the oldest floral festival in the country.
This year, Wesley Mission returns once again as the festivals naming rights sponsor and a fun-filled program across 10 massive days featuring many free community events and engagements will ensure new jacaranda memories are made while honouring those of the past.
The Clarence Valley Independent will be attending many of these functions during the 2024 Grafton Jacaranda Festival between October 25 – November 3, and we are proud to present this special feature in recognition of its milestone anniversary.
