$140,000 upgrade for Casino courthouse

The NSW Government will invest $140,000 to upgrade the historic courthouse in Casino, Clarence Nationals MP Chris Gulaptis has announced.

“The money comes as part of the Nationals in Government’s $9 million investment in fast tracking the delivery of courthouse and corrections facility upgrades across regional NSW and will be used for fire safety and other security improvements,” Mr Gulaptis said.

“One thing we learned from the bushfires is that you can’t be too safe with fire prevention, which is why it is important to ensure alarms are in line with modern safety standards.”

The NSW Government is fast tracking courthouse upgrade projects as part of its COVID-19 economic recovery plan.

The stimulus package is designed to accelerate development across a range of sectors and boost employment in NSW, particularly regional areas that have suffered the additional impacts of drought and bushfires.
